Seriously.
I'm watching the second season of 24 right now, and it just got to the part where Jack Bauer parachutes out of an aeroplane carrying a nuclear bomb, jumps behind a sand dune, and covers his head while the mushroom cloud blooms over the Nevada desert.
Anyone that is too good for this show needs to cut the pretense and watch.
Here's a simple analogy (the kind no longer found on SAT's, I've heard):
House : Medical Drama
24 : Spy show
I don't mean this in direct terms of quality; House is the better television show, there's no disputing that. But 24 has even higher production values, and it boasts a plot arc (okay, one that doesn't consist of House's escalating drug use). But for all ye unbelievers, you should know that 24 is no more Murdochian right-wing propaganda than House is.
So, watch it, or I'll start talking about Jack Bauer Facts again.

Watching the first season of 24 on DVD was one of the first things that made me realize that at least a small part of television had returned from the dark side.
I tell you what, though, they'd better watch out or they're going to get up to a week!
Like House, 24 has its moments, for sure, though for YT the gimmick quickly wears off. But then, I have no attention span.
