Oh man. In addition to generally getting a horrible creepy-crawly feeling from Larry Summers, the man also has a habit that I detest. It might even be worse than people who compulsively say "Look," when presenting an argument. In point of fact, these two habits are used in similar ways. What I am referring to is that little sort of half-laugh when talking about something the speaker wants to understand is unpleasant. Ex: "The entire family had been yuck-yuck devoured by wolves!" or "We used the money levied by the tax already, but yuck-yuck it just wasn't enough!"
