Charlie Rose - An Appreciation of Tim Russert

It's hard to say exactly why it has taken a few days to hit me, or why it has hit me so strongly, but even as I write this, my eyes are still red and wet with tears. Sadly enough, it wasn't until he died that I realized what I had loved so much about Tim Russert, and that was that I considered him something of an intellectual and ethical father, a concept he himself mentions in one of the clips on Charlie's show. We've lost someone whose importance we can't even begin to appreciate, someone whose character we should all look up to and strive to emulate, someone taken from us so unbelievably and unfairly too early. He is missed.
